Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
• Perform triage and manage patient flow in a critical access hospital setting
• Collaborate with physicians, mid-levels, and interdisciplinary team to deliver optimal outcomes
• Manage own ER holds and stabilize patients until transfer or discharge
• Utilize Cerner EMR to document and coordinate care efficiently
• Read and interpret telemetry strips as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ER experience within the last 3 years
• Active California RN license or compact license accepted
• Must have BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Experience with triage and Cerner preferred
• Comfortable working in a Level III trauma center with varied acuity

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in using Cerner EMR and emergency equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow NC)
• Ability to work collaboratively with a small team and independently when needed
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
