Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced ER
• Administer conscious sedation and assist with intubations
• Manage sepsis, stroke, and chest pain patients using evidence-based protocols
• Deliver compassionate care to behavioral health patients and participate in crisis intervention
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes and patient safety
• Accurately document all care in the Meditech EHR system

Qualifications

• Active TX RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of emergency room experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (or ENPC), TNCC, and NIHSS certifications
• Ability to float to other units as needed
• CEN certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of sepsis, stroke (TPA administration), and chest pain management
• Expert teamwork and communication abilities
• Proficiency with Meditech EHR system preferred
• Understanding of conscious sedation and intubation procedures
• Compassionate approach to caring for behavioral health patients
