Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care in a fast-paced Emergency Department
• Perform rapid assessments and triage to prioritize patient needs effectively
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, techs and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Document patient assessments, interventions and responses clearly and timely
• Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalating concerns when necessary
• Maintain a safe environment and adhere to infection control and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of North Carolina (or multistate compact where applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department nursing experience
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong critical thinking, prioritization and emergency clinical skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in rapid patient assessment and triage
• Competent in emergency interventions and medication administration
• Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
• Ability to document clearly and efficiently under time pressure
• Familiarity with ED workflows, patient flow management and acute care protocols
