Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care and nursing interventions with compassion
- Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families to promote recovery and self-care
- Prioritize patient safety and infection control practices at all times
- Support smooth shift handoffs and clear communication with colleagues
Qualifications
- Active RN license in the state of New Mexico (required)
- Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
- Previous acute care or relevant clinical experience preferred
- Comfortable working independently in per-diem assignments and adapting to varied teams
- Strong communication, time management, and clinical judgement skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and clinical decision-making abilities
- Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
- Proficient with electronic medical records and accurate charting
- Patient education and family-centered care approach
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Team collaboration and clear professional communication
