Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies accurately and timely, including mammography and CT reads
• Perform image-guided procedures such as ultrasound-guided biopsies and abscess drainage
• Carry out breast localization procedures for the OR (magseed/magtrace) and mammography-guided biopsies
• Provide contrast studies and fluoroscopic procedures including barium enema, small bowel follow through, and upper GI
• Perform interventional procedures as appropriate: PICC placement, lumbar puncture, arthrograms, joint injections, and facet/SI/ESI injections
• Deliver clear, professional documentation and communicate results to referring providers
• Collaborate with surgeons, OB/GYN and other providers to support inpatient and outpatient needs
• Assist with Medicare overreads and quality assurance activities as needed

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of an ACGME-accredited radiology residency
• Board certified or board eligible in Diagnostic Radiology preferred
• State medical license in North Dakota or ability to obtain licensure and complete credentialing (60-90 days)
• Experience with diagnostic mammography and breast biopsy procedures
• Comfort with a broad procedural scope including fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound-guided procedures and basic interventional techniques
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or willingness to adopt it quickly
• Locum tenens or travel experience is a plus; travel readiness preferred

Education

• MD or DO with radiology residency completion
• Board certification or eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic mammography and breast imaging techniques
• Breast biopsy and localization (magseed/magtrace)
• Fluoroscopy and contrast studies (barium enema, upper GI, small bowel follow through)
• Ultrasound-guided procedures and ultrasound interpretation
• CT imaging and CT cystogram interpretation
• Interventional basics: PICC placement, lumbar puncture, joint aspirations/injections, ESI, SI and facet injections
• Meditech EMR competency
• Strong communication skills and interdisciplinary collaboration
