Roles & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a diverse patient population across both acute inpatient and outpatient settings
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with orthopedic, medical, and neurologic conditions
• Cover the outpatient orthopedic clinic located in the athletic club as well as the acute medical floor
• Provide 45-minute outpatient appointments, giving patients the time and attention they deserve
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary rehab team including aides, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists
• Document patient progress accurately in MEDITECH and adapt plans to achieve optimal functional outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Oregon Physical Therapist license required (does not need to be in hand at time of submittal)
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Current BLS certification
• At least 1 year of outpatient physical therapy experience
• Comfortable working in a mix of inpatient/acute and outpatient environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong orthopaedic clinical reasoning and treatment skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with a 'small town' mix of diagnoses - ortho, medical, and neuro
• Flexibility to move between outpatient clinic and acute care settings throughout the day
• Excellent time management to keep 45-minute outpatient visits on schedule
• Familiarity with MEDITECH charting system
• Adaptable, self-directed, and comfortable in a community hospital environment
