Physical Therapist Assistant - Rehabilitation
Location: Silver City, NM

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the supervising Physical Therapist in implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients regain function
- Provide therapeutic exercises and mobility training focused on improving strength, balance, and independence
- Support patients during functional activities and train them in safe movement strategies
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist to ensure optimal outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of therapy sessions to support continuity of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license required
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
- Previous rehabilitation, SNF, or outpatient experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively on a team
- Comfortable with timely, accurate documentation and patient-centered care
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and therapeutic exercise techniques
- Mobility training and fall prevention strategies
- Clinical documentation and progress reporting
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Ability to follow treatment plans developed by the supervising PT
