Pharmacy Technician - Hospital
Location: State College, Pennsylvania

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 10:15 AM - 8:45 PM, weekend coverage required
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately to support patient care
- Assist pharmacists with order verification and medication management
- Maintain detailed inventory and ensure proper storage of pharmaceuticals
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize medication safety
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician license from the PA State Board of Pharmacy (or trainee license)
- At least 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
Knowledge & Skills
- Hospital pharmacy operations and workflows
- Medication preparation and distribution techniques
- Familiarity with pharmacy computer systems and automated dispensing
- Knowledge of federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Mathematical skills for dosage calculations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
