Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
  • Provide direct therapeutic services to children with communication disorders
  • Collaborate with families, physicians, and other care team members to optimize outcomes
  • Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
  • Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home activities
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings as needed
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing regulations, and professional standards

Qualifications

  • Active Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills in pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Knowledge of feeding and swallowing therapy techniques
  • Ability to develop creative, engaging therapy sessions for children
  • Proficient in electronic health records and documentation
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
  • Effective time management and adaptability in a fast-paced per diem role
