Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist
Location: Portland, Oregon
Start Date: 08-25-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: Per Diem, flexible scheduling; 8.5-hour shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $34 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and swallowing assessments for pediatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs
- Provide direct therapeutic services to children with communication disorders
- Collaborate with families, physicians, and other care team members to optimize outcomes
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and home activities
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings as needed
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, licensing regulations, and professional standards
Qualifications
- Active Oregon Speech-Language Pathology license
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and diagnostic skills in pediatric speech and language disorders
- Knowledge of feeding and swallowing therapy techniques
- Ability to develop creative, engaging therapy sessions for children
- Proficient in electronic health records and documentation
- Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills
- Effective time management and adaptability in a fast-paced per diem role
