Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during a variety of orthodontic procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) to support accurate diagnoses and treatment planning
• Educate patients on orthodontic care, including how to maintain braces, aligners, and retainers
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment plans using practice management software
• Provide a welcoming and positive experience for every patient, helping them feel at ease throughout their visit

Qualifications

• Must be orthodontic assistant certified
• Experience as a dental assistant, preferably in orthodontics
• Current radiography (X-ray) certification preferred
• CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, instruments, and terminology
• Proficiency with dental practice management software, including Denticon
• Strong patient care and customer service skills
• Understanding of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Ability to work collaboratively with the orthodontic team
