Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assist orthodontists during braces and Invisalign procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience for patients
  • Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms to maintain the highest standards of safety and cleanliness
  • Take and develop dental X-rays, capturing clear images for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care, empowering them to maintain healthy smiles
  • Manage patient records, treatment plans, and appointment scheduling to keep the office running efficiently
  • Provide exceptional patient care, making every visit a positive and welcoming experience

Qualifications

  • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-specific certification required
  • X-ray certification and experience taking dental radiographs
  • Hands-on experience with orthodontic procedures, including braces and Invisalign
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology, instruments, and sterilization protocols
  • Current CPR certification
  • A friendly, patient-centered attitude with excellent communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of orthodontic treatments, including braces and Invisalign
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to connect with patients and team members
  • Strong attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping and patient care
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dental environment
  • Proficiency with dental software, digital imaging, and scheduling tools
