Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontist during procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment notes
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional care

Qualifications

• Current Orthodontic Dental Assistant certification in Maryland
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality care

Education

• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in orthodontic procedures and equipment
• Knowledge of dental terminology and sterilization protocols
• Experience with digital radiography and dental software
• Excellent chairside manner and teamwork
