Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist orthodontists during procedures including bracket placement and wire adjustments
• Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments to maintain a safe environment
• Take and develop dental X-rays and impressions
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care
• Maintain patient records and ensure smooth clinic flow

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent
• Current Maryland Dental Assistant License
• X-ray certification
• Experience in orthodontics preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures and instruments
• Proficient in taking dental X-rays
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Compassionate and patient-focused approach
