Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the orthodontist with patient procedures and appliance adjustments
- Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and trays
- Take dental impressions, intraoral photos, and X‑rays as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Orthodontic Dental Assistant certification is required
- High school diploma or GED (additional dental education a plus)
- Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical setting
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology
- Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records
- Understanding of OSHA infection‑control standards
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
- Comfortable educating patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
