Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist with patient procedures and appliance adjustments
• Prepare, sterilize, and organize dental instruments and trays
• Take dental impressions, intraoral photos, and X‑rays as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and update treatment charts
• Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Orthodontic Dental Assistant certification is required
• High school diploma or GED (additional dental education a plus)
• Excellent communication and patient‑care skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced clinical setting
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of orthodontic procedures, appliances, and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software and electronic health records
• Understanding of OSHA infection‑control standards
• Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
• Comfortable educating patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
