Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist with patient procedures and chairside support
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments between patients
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post‑procedure care
- Manage inventory of dental supplies and ensure proper stock levels
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Dental Assistant certification (DA or CDA) preferred
- Previous experience in a dental office environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow infection control and safety protocols
- Flexibility to work the scheduled shift
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with dental terminology and common procedures
- Proficiency with dental practice management software and charting
- Understanding of sterilization and infection control techniques
- Basic radiography knowledge and safety practices
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Customer service orientation and patient empathy
