Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during patient examinations and treatments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take and process dental impressions for appliance fabrication
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Coordinate with lab technicians to ensure timely delivery of orthodontic appliances

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification
• Experience in orthodontic settings preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient care

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Dental terminology and procedures
• Orthodontic appliance handling and adjustments
• Sterilization protocols and infection control
• Patient care and comfort techniques
• Team collaboration and communication
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) usage
