Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dental prophylaxis and cleaning for patients
• Assess oral health and document findings accurately
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Collaborate with dentists to develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain strict sterilization and infection‑control standards

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient‑education skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with dental charting software
• Understanding of infection‑control protocols
• Ability to perform scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications
• Knowledge of oral health education and preventive dentistry
