Shift Type: 8-hour day shifts; no weekend or on-call requirements

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $41 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions and deliver high-quality rehabilitative care
  • Provide skilled, medically necessary treatment to patients with cognitive and physical functioning disorders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
  • Administer therapeutic procedures including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and assistive device training
  • Assess patient progress, communicate with the supervising OT, and adjust treatments to optimize outcomes
  • Document all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system and maintain accurate patient records
  • Collaborate with patients, families, caregivers, and the healthcare team to create effective treatment plans and discharge summaries
  • Participate in patient care conferences, utilization reviews, and facility trainings to support a team-based approach
  • Adhere to NBCOT/AOTA and state practice acts, code of conduct, and ethics in all professional practice

Qualifications

  • At least one year of Occupational Therapy Assistant experience - new grads with Level II fieldwork are welcome!
  • Experience in long-term care (LTC) or skilled nursing facility (SNF) settings is required
  • Active Massachusetts OTA license or registration is required
  • Commitment to following NBCOT/AOTA and state professional practice standards
  • Strong communication and documentation skills to work effectively with patients, families, and the care team
