Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients' physical, emotional, and cognitive abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Recommend adaptive equipment and train patients
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on strategies
Maintain accurate patient documentation and progress reports
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists

Qualifications

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program
BLS/CPR certification
Completion of supervised fieldwork (Level I & Level II)
Passing the NBCOT exam to become an OTR
Application for NM OT license
2 years acute care experience preferred

Education

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an ACOTE-accredited program

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
Empathy and compassion
Organizational and time management skills
Knowledge of human anatomy, psychology, and therapeutic techniques
