Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and assess patients to determine occupational therapy needs and goals
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to maximize function
Use a variety of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to support patient progress
Collaborate with the referring physician and rehabilitation team to coordinate care
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress in a timely and professional manner
Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies and home programs to support independence

Qualifications

Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy (required)
Knowledge of and practice in accordance with the State Practice Act
Experience performing patient evaluations and creating treatment plans
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy

Knowledge & Skills

Patient evaluation and clinical assessment techniques
Treatment planning and therapeutic procedures
Use and fitting of assistive devices and adaptive equipment
Working knowledge of the State Practice Act and regulatory requirements
Ability to document care and communicate effectively with physicians and team members
