Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess and interpret patient evaluations to develop personalized occupational therapy treatment plans
  • Help patients regain or develop physical and mental functioning through therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques
  • Promote independence by selecting therapies tailored to individual capacities and goals
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in patient care conferences
  • Provide discharge planning and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care
  • Document patient progress accurately and maintain confidentiality
  • Supervise rehab aides and contribute to staff development through training

Qualifications

  • Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License required
  • Current NBCOT Certification required
  • BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of methods for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions
  • Understanding of human behavior, learning, and motivation
  • Customer service and patient assessment skills
  • Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records
  • Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform therapy activities
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
