Occupational Therapist - Inpatient
Location: Delta, Colorado
Start Date: 09-30-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (40 hours per week)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and interpret patient evaluations to develop personalized occupational therapy treatment plans
- Help patients regain or develop physical and mental functioning through therapeutic activities and adaptive techniques
- Promote independence by selecting therapies tailored to individual capacities and goals
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals in patient care conferences
- Provide discharge planning and home exercise programs to ensure continuity of care
- Document patient progress accurately and maintain confidentiality
- Supervise rehab aides and contribute to staff development through training
Qualifications
- Active Colorado Occupational Therapy License required
- Current NBCOT Certification required
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of rehabilitation principles and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of methods for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of physical and mental dysfunctions
- Understanding of human behavior, learning, and motivation
- Customer service and patient assessment skills
- Proficiency in documentation and electronic medical records
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform therapy activities
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
