Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on patient samples to aid in diagnosis and treatment
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quality control standards
• Analyze test results and report findings to medical staff with precision and attention to detail
• Follow strict safety and infection control protocols to protect patients, staff, and yourself
• Assist with specimen collection, processing, and storage as needed

Qualifications

• Valid certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from an accredited program (ASCP or equivalent)
• Missouri state licensure preferred (if applicable)
• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records
• Proficiency in specimen handling and phlebotomy procedures
• Understanding of quality control and assurance standards
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Computer proficiency for accurate data entry and reporting
