Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents in the Mercy LIFE program
• Administer medications and follow physician orders safely and accurately
• Perform routine assessments, take vital signs, and report clinical changes promptly
• Complete Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to ensure high-quality care
• Maintain accurate license and certification verifications and comply with required health screenings
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and families to support resident-centered care

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in good standing (required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist (required as part of onboarding)
• Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings per employer policy (PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza)
• Successful completion of Trinity 10 panel drug screen and background verification
• Comfortable working in a per diem pool with variable schedules

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program or equivalent
• Active LPN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong foundational nursing skills in medication administration and basic assessments
• Infection control practices and adherence to vaccine and screening protocols
• Ability to follow competency checklists and facility-specific procedures
• Clear communication and teamwork with clinical staff and leadership
• Detail-oriented documentation and timely reporting of resident condition changes
