Location: Lanham, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days vary (per diem), 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to geriatric residents during the night shift
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Perform safe transfers and fall prevention measures to maintain resident safety
Complete timely and accurate documentation of care, observations, and interventions
Support mealtime assistance and basic comfort measures during overnight hours

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
Prior experience in long-term care or geriatric settings preferred
Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background checks and meet facility health/immunization requirements
Dependable night-shift availability and strong teamwork mindset

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred; GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and common age-related conditions
Skill in safe patient handling and transfer techniques
Clear communication with interdisciplinary teams and families
Basic documentation and charting skills
Infection control practices and attention to resident safety
