Location: Bowie, MD

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (flexible days), 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, respectful care to geriatric residents, promoting dignity and independence
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support meal assistance and safe feeding when needed
Take and record vital signs, monitor changes, and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
Document resident status and care provided accurately and timely
Help with safe transfers and mobility support while following proper body mechanics
Engage residents in social interactions and support emotional well-being

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working with older adults and a genuine desire to provide compassionate care
Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of basic geriatric care and activities of daily living
Ability to take and record vital signs accurately
Familiarity with infection prevention and hand hygiene best practices
Basic documentation skills and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills and patience when working with seniors
