Director of Rehab
Location: Kennebunk, ME
Contract Type: Perm
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Day shift with weekend rotation
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $33 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire the rehabilitation team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care
- Develop and implement clinical programs and best practices across the rehab service line
- Oversee staff scheduling, performance reviews, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and facility policies
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Analyze clinical and operational metrics to drive quality improvement and efficiency
- Manage patient flow and throughput while maintaining high standards of documentation
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor, fostering a positive and educational environment
Qualifications
- Licensed clinician in your discipline (e.g., PT, OT, or SLP) with active state licensure
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a rehabilitation or inpatient setting preferred
- Solid clinical background in adult inpatient rehabilitation practices
- Strong communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with clinical documentation and comfort using electronic medical records
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, or related field; advanced degree or clinical specialization a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in rehab clinical pathways, discharge planning, and functional outcome measures
- Skilled in staff development, performance management, and program growth
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards affecting rehabilitation services
- Ability to interpret clinical and operational data to inform decision-making
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration and patient-family communication skills
- Familiarity with EMR systems and efficient documentation practices
