Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide thorough dental cleanings and prophylaxis to patients
• Assess oral health conditions and document patient findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
• Take and process dental radiographs as needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure efficient patient care
• Maintain sterilized instruments and a clean, compliant operatory

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
• Strong communication and patient-focused attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and instrumentation
• Proficiency in taking dental x-rays
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent patient education and interpersonal skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with the dental team
