Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver thorough dental cleanings and scaling procedures to maintain optimal oral health
• Capture and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants to protect patient smiles
• Assess oral health conditions and report findings to the supervising dentist
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a clean, sterilized workspace

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia (or compact eligibility)
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience in a clinical dental setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to connect with patients
• Commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in dental hygiene procedures and instruments
• Knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols
• Skill in patient education and communication
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
