Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and periodontal scaling to promote optimal oral health
• Take and develop dental radiographs as needed for patient diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventative care
• Assist the dentist during procedures and ensure a comfortable patient experience
• Maintain accurate patient records and update health histories
• Sterilize and prepare dental instruments and operatory rooms

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Dental Hygienist license
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in a clinical dental setting preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first mindset

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Proficiency with dental software and record-keeping systems
• Excellent communication skills to educate and reassure patients
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
