Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care and hygiene services to patients
• Conduct oral health assessments and document findings
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain infection control standards
• Collaborate with dentists and staff to ensure seamless patient flow

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Dental Hygiene license
• Experience delivering dental hygiene services in a clinical setting
• Strong communication and patient education skills
• Ability to work independently during early‑morning hours

Knowledge & Skills

• Oral health assessment and risk evaluation
• Prophylaxis and scaling techniques
• Fluoride application and sealant placement
• Infection control protocols
• Electronic dental record documentation
