Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver skilled, compassionate care to ER patients
• Triage patients efficiently, prioritize needs, and act quickly in life-threatening situations
• Process physician orders accurately and promptly, ensuring medication changes and treatment plans are followed
• Evaluate patient responses and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans for the best outcomes
• Provide physical and emotional comfort to patients, families, and visitors during stressful moments
• Support pre-hospital care by coordinating with ambulance teams and giving appropriate orders when needed

Qualifications

• Active Michigan RN license (or compact where applicable) verified through LARA/Nursys
• 2+ years of Emergency Room experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a variety of patient needs

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in emergency nursing assessments and triage
• Skilled in treatment planning and patient care coordination
• Comfortable using Epic EMR system
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Able to remain calm and decisive during critical situations
