Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance to pediatric dentists during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comforting experience for young patients.
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments, operatory rooms, and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
• Take and process dental X-rays while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Educate parents and children on proper oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Assist with patient intake, charting, and maintaining accurate dental records.
• Support the dental team with administrative tasks and inventory management as needed.

Qualifications

• State certification or registration as a Dental Assistant in Wisconsin, or ability to obtain it
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Radiography (X-ray) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain
• Previous experience in pediatric dentistry is a plus, but new graduates are welcome to apply
• Excellent communication skills and a warm, caring demeanor with children

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and chairside procedures
• Familiarity with dental practice management software
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to build rapport with pediatric patients and their families
• Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
