Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and ready
• Assist surgeons and nursing staff during elective orthopedic, spine, general, cardiovascular, plastics, GYN, robotics, and urology cases
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient OR environment to support positive patient outcomes
• Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and handle instruments with precision and care
• Document procedures accurately in Meditech and CPN systems
• Respond to call promptly and collaborate with a team that values flexibility and patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of current acute care CST hospital experience
• Must hold NBSTA certification
• Must hold DORA certification
• Current BLS certification required
• Candidates with ortho/spine or cardiovascular experience will be considered first
• A genuine passion for patient care and teamwork

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis and sterile technique
• Comfortable working with Meditech and CPN electronic medical records
• Experience with ortho/spine and cardiovascular surgical procedures
• Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced OR environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and call requirements
