Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor patient progress to ensure they are successfully completing their treatment plans
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their recovery process
• Help patients improve their quality of life by finding practical solutions to daily challenges
• Assist injured individuals in improving motor skills to support their return to work
• Teach patients with disabilities to become more independent in their daily activities
• Update patient records and communicate progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Maintain a clean and organized office, treatment room, and equipment
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on techniques to support the treatment program

Qualifications

• Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Missouri
• Current CPR certification
• 2+ years of Occupational Therapy experience (preferred)
• Experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or Rehab settings (preferred)
• Must be comfortable working with diverse patient populations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of therapeutic exercises and motor skills improvement
• Ability to perform progress monitoring and patient education
• Experience with self-care activities and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
