Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care and assist patients with daily living activities
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and positioning while following safe patient-handling practices
• Support fellow staff by communicating patient needs and ensuring continuity of care
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to protect patients and teammates
• Build trusting relationships with patients and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification in the state of California (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Previous CNA experience in a hospital or long-term care setting preferred
• Comfort working overnight hours and handling the pace of a clinical environment
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, patient hygiene
• Familiarity with infection control and safety best practices
• Comfortable with basic documentation and reporting patient observations
• Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
• Compassionate patient-centered care and strong interpersonal skills
