Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, supporting activities of daily living with dignity and respect
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and meal needs while promoting independence
• Take and accurately document vital signs and any observable changes in condition
• Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and equipment
• Communicate observations clearly to nurses and the care team to ensure cohesive care plans
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients
• Document care promptly and accurately in the patient record to support continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in good standing
• Ability to obtain or hold New Mexico CNA certification if required
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Able to pass background check and drug screening as required by facility
• Compassionate attitude, strong teamwork skills and reliability; prior CNA experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on resident care and assistance with ADLs
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Safe patient transfers and fall prevention techniques
• Infection control practices and standard precautions
• Clear verbal and written communication with care teams and families
• Accurate charting and time management in a fast-paced setting
