Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varies (Per Diem), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM Night

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding, and mobility support
Monitor and record vital signs and observe changes in condition
Communicate resident status and care details clearly to nursing staff
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control protocols
Document care accurately and in a timely manner in resident records
Support resident dignity and independence while delivering high-quality care
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to meet resident needs

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (eligible to practice in New Mexico preferred)
CPR/BLS certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling
Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach

Education

CNA certification (required)
High school diploma or GED (preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Patient care fundamentals and safe transfer techniques
Ability to take and accurately record vital signs
Basic wound care awareness and infection control practices
Comfortable with charting and following care plans
Good interpersonal skills for working with residents and families
Time management and ability to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
