Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to adult ICU patients
• Monitor and interpret patient data, respond quickly to changes in condition
• Administer medications and advanced life support according to protocols and orders
• Collaborate closely with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform and document clinical assessments, interventions, and progress in the medical record
• Participate in unit quality initiatives, competency evaluations, and required testing

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (must be able to work in California; Nursys verification required)
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• NIHSS certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required
• Completion of Prime skills/checklist and competency exams as listed by the facility
• Meet required health and screening items (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB testing, Hepatitis B, Fit Test, 10-panel drug screen, immunizations)
• ICU experience preferred; ability to work both day and night shifts

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN). BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Comfort with hemodynamic monitoring and titratable drips
• Familiarity with stroke assessment tools (NIHSS)
• Skilled in medication administration and basic pharmacology principles
• Clear, compassionate patient and family communication
• Accurate EMR documentation and adherence to licensing/credential verification
