Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
• Assess patient condition continuously and intervene promptly for changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies and specialized treatments safely
• Operate and monitor ventilators and advanced life support equipment
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Document assessments, interventions and patient responses accurately in the medical record
• Lead and mentor bedside team members to ensure smooth, safe patient care transitions
• Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies and rapid response situations

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana or eligibility to obtain one quickly
• BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior ICU or critical care experience preferred; new ICU grads who have critical care training are welcome to apply
• Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced critical care environment
• Strong clinical judgement, critical thinking and effective communication skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care assessment and monitoring
• Familiarity with ventilator management and advanced cardiac life support
• Medication administration and titration in critical care settings
• Proficient clinical documentation and charting practices
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work collaboratively under pressure
• Patient and family education with empathy and clarity
