Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality inpatient and swing-bed rehabilitation services that help patients regain independence
• Deliver outpatient orthopedic care and, when needed, neurorehabilitation services based on your experience
• Perform thorough evaluations, create individualized treatment plans, and document progress clearly
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated patient care
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and maintain required skills checklists
• Support discharge planning and patient/family education to maximize long-term outcomes
• Occasionally provide weekend coverage to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist (current state license required; license verification will be performed)
• BLS certification (required)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, swing bed care, outpatient orthopedics, and neurorehabilitation a strong fit
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Ability to pass pre-employment requirements including fit test, 10-panel drug screen, and health screenings
• Up-to-date immunizations as listed (COVID-19, Tdap, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella) and TB screening (2-step PPD or IGRA)

Education

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent professional degree in Physical Therapy preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in inpatient rehabilitation protocols and swing-bed patient management
• Orthopedic evaluation and treatment techniques for outpatient care
• Basic neurorehabilitation assessment and intervention skills
• Strong documentation, clinical reasoning, and interdisciplinary communication
• Comfortable working in a critical access rural hospital setting with a broad scope of practice
