Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during daytime shifts
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document in the chart
• Perform thorough patient assessments and communicate changes to the care team
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and update care plans
• Support residents and families with education, empathy, and clear communication
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and handoffs
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth transitions
• Uphold facility policies and regulatory requirements while promoting quality care

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license in good standing (appropriate to the position you apply for)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS or PALS as applicable preferred
• Minimum demonstrated competency in medication administration and charting
• Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar acute/subacute settings preferred
• Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Education

• LPN: Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program with current LPN license
• RN: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or BSN program with current RN license

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of nursing fundamentals, vital signs, and wound care
• Medication calculation and safe administration practices
• Comfortable using electronic health records and standard clinical documentation
• Good clinical judgment, prioritization, and time management
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with residents, families, and staff
• Infection control practices and safety-minded approach to care
