Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate patients with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders using sound clinical judgment
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that improve communication and quality of life
Provide targeted therapy focused on communication, cognition, and dysphagia management
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to maximize outcomes
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation staff to coordinate care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation to support patient care and compliance

Qualifications

Active California Speech Language Pathologist license (required)
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
Minimum 1 year of speech therapy experience
Previous skilled nursing facility or rehabilitation experience preferred
Strong clinical assessment and patient care skills

Knowledge & Skills

Clinical assessment of speech, language, cognition, and swallowing
Dysphagia management and safe swallow strategies
Individualized treatment planning and progress monitoring
Effective interdisciplinary communication and collaboration
Accurate clinical documentation and charting
