Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Day 5x8-Hour (07:00 AM - 03:00 PM) or Mid 5x8-Hour (01:00 PM - 09:00 PM), variable shifts
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $69 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Master ultrasound-guided peripheral venous access to ensure safe patient care
- Perform vascular access procedures for pediatric inpatients with precision and compassion
- Float confidently to other UCSF facilities, expanding your impact
- Manage PICC lines and troubleshoot access issues like a pro
- Educate patients and families, building trust and confidence
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to handle complex cases in respiratory, sepsis, cardiac, surgery, and trauma
Qualifications
- Active CA RN License
- AHA BLS certification
- Vascular access experience in pediatric hospital settings
- Proficiency in ultrasound PIV placement
- Comfortable with 1:1 patient ratios across neonate to adolescent age groups
Education
- RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in venous access device complications like CLABSI, phlebitis, and extravasation
- Skilled in aseptic technique, catheter management, and tip placement confirmation
- Knowledge of special populations including neonatal/pediatric, obese, and renal patients
- Familiarity with infusion therapies such as TPN, PCA, and transfusions
- Experience in adult inpatient and emergency department settings preferred
