Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert respiratory care and mechanical ventilation management for patients across the unit
• Operate and troubleshoot ventilators including Servo I, GE and V60 models with confidence
• Deliver high-flow therapy using Airvo and Vapotherm devices to optimize patient outcomes
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in Meditech EMR to ensure continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust treatment plans
• Perform patient assessments, weaning trials and airway management with clinical judgment and compassion
• Educate patients and families about respiratory care plans and device use in clear, supportive language

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• NRP or STABLE certification required for this role
• BLS and ACLS certifications required before start
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory/ICU experience preferred
• Experience with mechanical ventilation and high-flow devices (Servo I, GE, V60, Airvo, Vapotherm)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical knowledge of mechanical ventilation and ventilator management
• Hands-on experience with Servo I, GE ventilators and V60
• Proficiency using high-flow oxygen devices such as Airvo and Vapotherm
• Comfortable documenting and navigating Meditech electronic medical records
• Excellent assessment skills for critically ill and respiratory-compromised patients
• Clear communication, teamwork and the ability to teach patients and staff
• Ability to prioritize, adapt and stay calm in high-acuity situations
