Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM or 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 48

Candidate Pay Rate: $66 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitor and manage telemetry for adult and adolescent patients on a 55-bed PCU unit
Provide comprehensive care for patients with common diagnoses such as CVA, TIA, COVID, and subdural hematoma
Administer medications including PCA pumps, cardizem, and insulin
Collaborate with a supportive team including charge nurses, care managers, social workers, and therapists
Ensure patient safety through hourly rounding and responsiveness

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Telemetry competency required
Driver's license required to verify 50-mile radius
Minimum 1 year of PCU experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of PCU level of care and common patient diagnoses
Proficiency in Epic EMR
Experience with Alaris IV pumps
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to float to medical-surgical areas as needed
