Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day/Night rotating, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac, nephrology, stroke, and diabetes diagnoses
Titrate and monitor intravenous drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications
Monitor continuous EEG and interpret telemetry readings
Collaborate with charge nurse and interdisciplinary team to ensure safe patient care
Float to medical floors, ICU, or rehab as needed
Maintain positive attitude, strong communication, and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of PCU or similar experience preferred
Willingness to float to other units
Ability to pass an open-book skills exam with 90% during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Proficiency in titrating cardiac and seizure medications
Ability to manage a 1:4-5 patient ratio
Adaptability to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
