Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide advanced cardiac care for PCU/IMCU patients, including those with STEMI, NSTEMI, and post-cardiac surgery
- Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms to detect changes in patient condition
- Administer cardiac drips such as Milrinone, Dobutamine, and Pressors with precision
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on cardiac health and recovery
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with unit protocols
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in a similar sized acute care facility
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Experience with cardiac drip administration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for cardiac patients
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Competency in using electronic health records
