Location: Warwick, RI

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, plus on-call rotation

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert post-anesthesia care to patients recovering from surgery
Monitor vital signs, manage pain, and assess patient status during critical recovery phase
Collaborate with anesthesia and surgical teams to ensure safe transitions of care
Educate patients and families on post-operative recovery and discharge instructions
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions

Qualifications

Active RN license in Rhode Island or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1-2 years of PACU experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth knowledge of post-anesthesia nursing standards and protocols
Proficiency in airway management and emergency response
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Familiarity with electronic health records and monitoring equipment
