Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate direct care to adult and geriatric cancer patients, supporting their physical and emotional needs
• Administer chemotherapy treatments while closely monitoring for reactions
• Assist in clinical trials, handling data collection and documentation with precision
• Perform specialized procedures like brachytherapy and neobladder care
• Champion infection prevention and patient safety protocols every shift
• Interpret telemetry dysrhythmias and respond swiftly to patient changes
• Collaborate seamlessly with interdisciplinary teams including rapid response
• Manage feeding tubes, IV therapy, blood products, and central lines expertly
• Document everything accurately in EPIC to ensure top-notch patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years recent experience in Med Surg/Tele nursing
• Current BLS certification
• Oncology experience preferred, with chemotherapy administration and brachytherapy skills
• ONS Chemotherapy certification is a plus
• Strong communication skills for working with patients, families, and teams

Education

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing
• Expertise in dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Chemotherapy administration and monitoring
• Infection prevention and patient falls management
• EPIC charting system
• PCA pumps, NG tubes, Foley catheters, and surgical drains
