Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients on a Medical-Surgical/Cardiology unit
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and assess patients' conditions, reporting changes to the care team
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and update care plans
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medications, and discharge instructions
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Prior experience in medical-surgical or cardiology nursing strongly preferred
- Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and practices
- Familiarity with cardiac monitoring, telemetry, and rhythm interpretation
- Proficiency in medication administration and IV therapy
- Excellent patient assessment and clinical documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care
